Build kevlar boat

Is boat kevlar , bullet proof kevlar?, A friend and i have come up with the idea that what if we could build a bulet proof suit out of boat scrap kevlar. first we want to start off with just small panels then work our way up untill we had professional looking kevlar suits. the suits would then be shot when they were finihed, my friend and i shoot alot at the local range and we could desing our own kevlar/ somthing else bullet.
